How to become a Freemason
If you would like to become a Freemason, the first step is usually to contact a Masonic organisation in your area. Most have a simple enquiry form on their official website.
You will normally be invited to meet some members informally, so that you can ask questions and they can get to know you. Most organisations ask that you are of a minimum age, are of good character and have a belief in a supreme being, though the exact requirements vary.
Membership arrangements differ between organisations and countries, including who can join and what it costs. Please check the details with the organisation you are interested in.
This is an independent website and not an official Masonic body. We can't process applications, but the official sites below are a good place to start.
